In 2025, I achieved a doctoral degree in Design from the College of Design and Innovation at Tongji University, where my research centered on pragmatic design inquiry. Throughout my Ph.D studies, I also worked as an independent design consultant, collaborating with leading companies such as Huawei, Xiaomi, and BMW on design strategy and innovation. Prior to my Ph.D studies, I worked as a user researcher at ISAR Interface Design in Shanghai from early 2016 to mid-2017, where I was involved in translating user insights into design strategies for various consumer brands.
My professional journey began in the UK, where I worked as a usability engineer at Barnes International Ltd after completing a Master's degree in Human-Centred Interaction Technologies at the University of York. Earlier, I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Northeastern University in China, which laid the technical foundation for my later transition into the field of experience design.
